Self-tutor guitar methods are about as effective as anti-dandruff shampoo - if they worked there wouldn't be so many of them about. This book is NOT for self-instruction, this book is for use only with a teacher. Though this book is progressive and is clearly aimed at the beginner My aim has been to provide flexible material that: 1. Is suitable for either finger style or plectrum guitar This first volume introduces eight notes (G-g) and brings in several accidentals early on. The pieces are offered in a progressive order, and I have endeavoured to hide exercises within the piece. Fingerings can be added by the teacher, and each piece is suitable for p,i,m,a or plectrum markings. Finally, I have tried to make the pieces self-contained, but some will benefit from simple chordal accompaniment. |
